Therese and Bruce – and their family and friends – were so much fun! I love how they laughed half the time through the formal photos… I loved the guys and their sunglasses, not to mention Bruce’s too-cute niece! And Therese’s uncle performed the ceremony, which made it that much more personal and touching.

susan & nate || massachusetts farm wedding

What a perfect day for an outdoor farm wedding! It was so much fun to see all the details Susan and Nate put into their wedding… They wrote their own vows, with a friend acting as officiant, Susan screenprinted the musical instruments onto the guys’ ties, another friend helped with the flowers (beautiful! and my favorite, sunflowers), and Susan wore her grandmother’s dress. Since the tablecloths were actually paper, each guest’s name was written at the appropriate seat, and there were crayons for everyone to decorate their own place setting. Neat!

lisa & chris – married! northampton wedding photographer

I had such a great time at Lisa and Chris’ wedding! I was able to photograph both the bride and groom getting ready, which is always fun. And then I walked with the guys through the (very neat) town of Northampton to the church. It took a couple of tries, but we got that Abbey Road shot, I think! And then of course the arrival of Lisa and the girls in the red VW bus… Although I wasn’t able to shoot during the ceremony itself, I caught Lisa and her dad walking down the aisle, and then the very end. The VW bus was definitely a focus of many of the photos afterward – Chris had a great idea to get a shot of them in the hubcap – kind of a mini-fisheye look! And then we were able to go out for a few minutes during the reception to take a couple of photos around town – I think the Calvin theater shots were worth standing in the middle of the road.

At the reception, many of the details were handmade – the table signs, placecards, favors, and cake topper, to name a few. And once dinner was over, the Chicken Slacks kept the party going into the night – if you’re looking for a band, definitely check them out!

sarah & ryan – married! andover wedding photographer

Congratulations to Sarah and Ryan! The day couldn’t have been more perfect for their wedding… They weren’t interested in a ton of posed photos, which made it fun for me to focus more on the photojournalistic side. A couple of my favorite moments/photos – all the girls gathering around while Sarah gets her dress on, and Sarah and Ryan’s first dance, just really sweet. And I can’t believe how much laughing there was at their ceremony – Father Joe definitely made it entertaining by inserting some personal tidbits about the couple.

megan & chris – married! cohasset wedding photographer

I had a fantastic beach engagement session with Megan and Chris last summer, and I had been so looking forward to their wedding! They are so fun together, and of course Megan makes a gorgeous bride and Chris the dapper groom… And I remember from last summer how warm and welcoming their families are. Chris’ dad even sung a couple of Sinatra songs, one of which to Megan – so sweet! I also love all the beach themed details and the blue and green flowers.

stephanie & david – married! peabody massachusetts wedding photographer

And now back to our regularly scheduled blogging… Catching up on last summer’s weddings… Stephanie and David had their reception at one of my favorite places – the Smith Barn at Brooksby Farms in Peabody, Massachusetts. It’s tucked away in a most unlikely of spots – right next to the Northshore Mall! But you’d never guess it while you’re out there. It’s such an idyllic, country spot, with the big red barn and loads of rustic charm. And Stephanie and David were certainly naturals in front of the camera, with a sense of happy contentment throughout the day.
