mary beth & matt || boston engagement photos

Mary Beth & Matt suggested doing their engagement photos in December when Boston is lit up and decorated for the holidays… And, even though it was pretty chilly, I think it was a great idea! We met first at the Boston Public Library, and were able to get some great shots inside and in the courtyard there as well. We then headed to the Public Garden and Commons for some more. With their big smiles and easy laughter, I think the wedding is going to be a lot of fun!

short update and holiday ordering deadline!

Hello out there… Sorry I haven’t been updating recently – my October was so full of weddings and portrait sessions that I’ve been focusing my energy on getting through the editing of all those images for clients before working on the blogposts. However, I am almost up-to-date! So, expect more regular blogging soon (probably after Thanksgiving, though – I have a German Chocolate Cake recipe to conquer!). In the meantime, you can “like” me on Facebook – I update there more regularly with sneak peek photos and little tidbits.

Also, anyone who is interested in getting prints through my website for Christmas will need to order them by December 11th. If you are a client that needs to redeem a print credit with me, please send me the order by December 10th.

andrea & jamie || peabody essex museum wedding

Yay! My 10-10-10 wedding – a very popular date, as you might imagine! I had been looking forward to this date for awhile – not just because of the numbers aligning, but to see Andrea and Jamie again – I knew it would be a good time after their awesome engagement session in the North End, and also my first chance to shoot at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. It was a bit crazy, being Salem in October, and as you can see in one photo, we ran across the zombie parade on Salem Common.

Otherwise, I went a little crazy shooting in the musuem – all the different architecture, lighting and of course amazing art everywhere you turn. I would’ve spent a lot more time dragging Andrea and Jamie around the museum, but I know they wanted to get to their guests and have a good time! And a good time was certainly had by all – as I hope you can see in the photos. The last montage is the girls vs. guys that the DJ set up – very fun! I can’t believe how many people he got on the dance floor screaming and singing.

Therese and Bruce – and their family and friends – were so much fun! I love how they laughed half the time through the formal photos… I loved the guys and their sunglasses, not to mention Bruce’s too-cute niece! And Therese’s uncle performed the ceremony, which made it that much more personal and touching.

jennifer & kah yong || christopher columbus park, boston, engagement photos

Wow – Jennifer and Kah Yong made my job so easy for their engagement shoot! A lot of laughs and joking around, as well as many sweet moments in-between. We met at Christopher Columbus Park in Boston at the waterfront for their engagement photos. A great suggestion by Jennifer, since we had the water, the greenery, and even a nearby carousel! I can’t wait for the wedding next year :)
