We were lucky with the rain that day – we almost decided not to go out to the beach for photos, but finally decided to risk it for a few minutes… I’m glad we did – I know Meghan really wanted beach shots, and I love the way they came out! I also got to drive a golf cart, which is always fun. Once we got back the party started, and I think Meghan was on the dance floor the entire night!

A personal highlight – it was Meghan’s parents’ anniversary that night – I think 35th? And the DJ played a special song to commemorate it for them – Meghan and Dennis joined them on the dance floor along with Meghan’s sisters and their husbands (photos of it are below)…

The concept is nautical inspired and will have lots of neat details and beautiful colors… All we need is you! The only requirements are that you have wedding attire (guys don’t need a tux, just a suit will be fine), and are available on September 12th, and the 19th (backup date for bad weather). The shoot will take place along the water somewhere on the Northshore. Exact location TBD.

This is a great opportunity if your outdoor photos got rained out on your wedding day, or if you had a winter wedding with no outdoor photos, or just because it will be fun! I will be happy to do an extended photoshoot for just the two of you after the concept shoot is over that day.

I loved all the details, and the laid-back vibe, the huge grin on Heidi’s face the entire day, their absolutely adorable nieces and nephews… Mixing the bridesmaids’ dresses with the brown and green theme, all different shades – great idea! And the bouquet is probably one of my favorite (green is my favorite color, so I’m biased)… Also, wonderful food (again, I’m partial because it was BBQ! yum) and huge dessert buffet… I had a great time, I must say!

I was able to photograph both the bride and groom getting ready, which is always fun. And then I walked with the guys through the (very neat) town of Northampton to the church. It took a couple of tries, but we got that Abbey Road shot, I think! And then of course the arrival of Lisa and the girls in the red VW bus… Although I wasn’t able to shoot during the ceremony itself, I caught Lisa and her dad walking down the aisle, and then the very end. The VW bus was definitely a focus of many of the photos afterward – Chris had a great idea to get a shot of them in the hubcap – kind of a mini-fisheye look! And then we were able to go out for a few minutes during the reception to take a couple of photos around town – I think the Calvin theater shots were worth standing in the middle of the road.

At the reception, many of the details were handmade – the table signs, placecards, favors, and cake topper, to name a few. And once dinner was over, the Chicken Slacks kept the party going into the night – if you’re looking for a band, definitely check them out!
