Forgive me for the length of this post – I had such a hard time narrowing down the shots on the beach of these two… So, I left all my favorites in!

Kelly and Cory have to be one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met. And all day long, from all the other vendors, all I heard was, “aren’t these two just the nicest people ever?” Yes, they are! The minute I arrived at Kelly’s parents house, all she could do was worry about me and was I okay. So sweet. And when I tried to get them to do a more “serious” pose on the beach (like the one with the big rock inbetween them) – they said, “we can’t NOT smile when we look at each other!”

The rain gods also smiled on us that day – unfortunately the ceremony had to be moved to the deck of the Ocean Edge Carriage House from the lawn because of rain showers coming and going. However, the rain stayed away for the length of the ceremony, and just long enough for us to go to the beach for the formals with the wedding party.

savannah!

April 14, 2010

Sorry I’ve been a little light on the blogging lately… Part of that has to do with the beautiful sunny weather we’ve had in the past couple of weeks, and partly because I was down in Macon, Georgia visiting my good friend Heidi at the beginning of April (actually right around the time those flood waters started coming). She’s getting married in December (engagement photos to follow shortly) at the amazing Marshall House in Savannah, and we took a day trip there from Macon to see it and walk around and be all touristy. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend going – I am looking forward to being a tourist again in December with Tom!

So, now that I’ve caught up a bit, I’d like to share some of the photos I took there… To begin with, my lovely and sometimes silly traveling companions…

Since we’ve moved, Tom and I have been pretty busy (what with our wedding, then the holidays and everything), and we haven’t gotten to go out and explore too much of our new surroundings… I wanted to remedy that a few weeks ago and take a short trek up to Portsmouth for the afternoon to look around, shoot and have lunch. It was cold, so I knew that we wouldn’t be out too long (I’m a wimp in the cold), and we stayed near the downtown/shops area. I’ve only been to Portsmouth a couple of times for weddings, but driving through it, I knew it would be a neat place to spend some time. Luckily there are all sorts of interesting shops around, because I needed a warm-up every few minutes!

Tom took this one... I'm ahead, with the camera dangling from my cold, cold hand

Me, looking for the best angle for the following shots...

Interesting to see how Tom and I take completely different shots of the same scene/area... This is my shot.

And this is Tom's.

A few of my favorites of Tom's from the day...
