jenn & rob – married! june 27th, 2009 – new hampshire wedding photographer

Jenn and Rob’s wedding was a blast – I don’t think there’s any other way to describe it… I think their main goal was to have fun, celebrate, and party all night long… They met on vacation in Key West, and wanted to bring back that laid-back vibe to their wedding, so much so that they flew up their favorite band that was playing down in Key West when they met – the Massacoustics – a very fun two-man band that can keep the party going. There were so many little places to take photos around the Inn – my favorite was the tiny little chapel tucked away in the woods… A nice respite from the excitement of the cocktail hour, and some of my favorite shots of Jenn and Rob. And can I say – lobster?! I was a very spoiled photographer that night.

Exploring Portsmouth, New Hampshire (in the cold… brrr…)

Since we’ve moved, Tom and I have been pretty busy (what with our wedding, then the holidays and everything), and we haven’t gotten to go out and explore too much of our new surroundings… I wanted to remedy that a few weeks ago and take a short trek up to Portsmouth for the afternoon to look around, shoot and have lunch. It was cold, so I knew that we wouldn’t be out too long (I’m a wimp in the cold), and we stayed near the downtown/shops area. I’ve only been to Portsmouth a couple of times for weddings, but driving through it, I knew it would be a neat place to spend some time. Luckily there are all sorts of interesting shops around, because I needed a warm-up every few minutes!

Don’t forget – free photoshoot contest!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  In celebration of this day of love, I’m offering a free photoshoot to two lucky couples!  Here’s what you’ll get:
- about an hour and a half of shooting with me, and my second shooter/husband, Tom
- a disc with all the touched-up images in high-resolution JPEG format
- online gallery at my website to share with your friends and family

And here are the only stipulations:
- the photoshoot will take place in the North End on Sunday March 14th at either 2 or 4 pm
- if it rains or is extremely cold, it will be rescheduled to a date in April that is convenient for everyone
- this offer is open to all couples – engaged, married, or just dating – please feel free to enter!
- you and your significant other should be comfortable in front of the camera, and ready to have fun!
- be willing to dress up (a little), or have a wardrobe change
- open to former clients, future wedding clients, friends/family of clients, people who’ve randomly come across this blog, anyone!

First post on the new blog!

Well, I’m moving my blog over here for a couple of different reasons – I wanted to control more of the look/layout of the blog, and this format also lets me post larger photos, so that might be fun, too. Let’s try it out.
